This Privacy Policy is provided in English.
Limn (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a meditative puzzle game developed by Erman Bağbakan (“the developer”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. Limn is designed to collect as little personal data as possible.
Summary
- Limn does not require an account, sign-in, name, email address, or precise location.
- Your game progress is stored only on your device.
- The only data that leaves your device is handled by third-party advertising, Apple Game Center, and Apple in-app purchases — each described below.
Information we handle
1. Data stored on your device (not collected by us)
Your level progress, stars, settings, and preferences are saved locally on your device (using iOS user defaults). This information stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and is removed if you delete the app.
2. Advertising
Limn is free and supported by ads served through the Appodeal SDK and its mediated advertising networks (which may include, among others, BidMachine, Google AdMob, AppLovin, and other partners). To show ads — and, where you consent, more relevant ads — these networks may process:
- a device advertising identifier (IDFA), when you grant permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt;
- your IP address and the general, non-precise location derived from it;
- ad-interaction and technical device information (device model, OS version, app version).
On first launch, before personalized ads are enabled, you are shown an App Tracking Transparency prompt (allow or deny tracking) and, where required (for example, in the EU/EEA/UK under GDPR, or in California under the CCPA/CPRA), a consent screen managed by Appodeal's consent manager. If you deny tracking, the app continues to work and you may still see non-personalized ads.
These advertising partners are independent controllers of the data they collect, and their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies — see Appodeal's policy at appodeal.com/home/privacy-policy. We require partners with whom data is shared to provide protections consistent with this policy and applicable law. You can remove ads entirely with the optional “Remove Ads” in-app purchase.
3. Apple Game Center (optional)
If you sign in to Apple Game Center, your progress can appear on leaderboards and achievements. Game Center is operated by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. It is optional; the app is fully playable without it.
4. In-app purchases
Optional in-app purchases (coin packs and “Remove Ads”) are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your payment; we never receive or store your payment-card details.
5. Notifications
Limn may schedule local reminder notifications on your device. These are generated on-device; we do not operate a push-notification server and do not collect data through them. You can disable notifications in iOS Settings.
6. Network connection
The app checks whether your device is online so it can load ads. We do not log or store your browsing or network activity.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise GPS location, or health data. We do not build user profiles, and we do not attempt to re-identify you from data described as “anonymized.”
Children's privacy
Limn is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will address it.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to opt out of personalized advertising or the “sale”/“sharing” of personal information.
- Tracking / personalized ads: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and the in-app consent screen.
- Local game data: delete the app to remove all on-device data.

Data retention and deletion
We do not operate servers that store your personal data. On-device data is retained until you delete it (or delete the app). Data processed by advertising partners is retained according to their own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated “Last updated” date.
